Job Center at the Library

As a way to kick off the new “Job Center at the Library”,  one-stop held and assistance for job seekers locally and conveniently, a representative from the Missouri Career Center in Kennett will be visiting the library on the last Tuesday of each month from 10 a.m. until noon. This will allow local residents an easy way to register for benefits and fill out applications for area employment. The Kennett MO Unemployment/ Career Center Office provide individuals seeking employment all the latest tools to find and keep that special job.

Employers also find assistance there in recruiting new employees including a national job listing network, applicant screening, and space in the centers to conduct testing and employment interviews.

The Job Center at the Library also includes a number of new books covering all aspects of a job search and eventual employment, including resumes, interviews, business writing, and job ettiquette that were purchased through a state grant that will be very beneficial to residents. This project is supported by the Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act as administered by the Missouri State Library, a division of the office of the Secretary of State.
