Pemiscot County Historical Society

Anyone can be a member of the Pemiscot County Historical Society. It is only $10 a year and you will receive four quarterlies of past historical features. You may mail a check to PCHS, P.O. Box 604, Caruthersville, MO 63830 or come by Caruthersville Public Library (where the Historical Society is housed) at 707 West 13th Street, Caruthersville, MO 63830 and fill out the registration form.

PCHS now has volunteers available to staff their room in the library on Mondays from 1-3 and on Tuesdays from 1-3. You may also make an appointment by e-mailing or calling Caruthersville Public Library at (573)333-2480.

You can also contact the Historical Society for genealogy and historical information or questions at or send a letter to the above address. (It is customary for the group to request the membership fee to allay costs for researching your question so if you include a $10 check, you will receive a quicker response.)

The Pemiscot County Historical Society is always happy to accept your used and empty toner cartridges. Simply bring them by the library and the Historical Society will receive your donation.
